“Let Me Down Slowly” is the 3rd song on Love Stories Never Start in October by Jvneav. The song, originally performed by Alec Benjamin, is about the ending of a relationship and the hopefulness to surviving it afterwards. Alessia Cara is featured on a remix of the song and her verse is included in this version.

Jvneav decided to feature two of his childhood friends on the song- Flo Petite and Kira Lutz. He decided to “Lady Marmalade” the song by combining the original version and the Alessia Cara remix so that there would be three verses. The trio of singers were all in the group ACT Up! Together in Hagerstown, MD when they were kids. Flo Petite is a touring indie musician who has been quickly erupting into the scene as of recent. This song was originally chosen to be the song Jvneav performed with Kira at her senior voice recital, but it fit within the theme of the album too well to not include it. They recorded it over the summer before Kira moved away from college and added Flo to the song because the three had always been close. Another member of the group, Spencer Thomas, designed the single artwork.
