“Insomnia” is the 7th song on Love Stories Never Start in October by Jvneav. The song, originally performed by Daya, is about the helpless feeling when you’re in or getting over a relationship where you want to be with the person you’re in love with.
“Insomnia” was the last song chosen to be on the album and was chosen because Jvneav wanted to have a song with a base of guitar instead of piano. This song felt the most right to be transformed into a folk-ish beat opposing the original’s EDM based beat. Jvneav also chose the song because he adores Daya as another influential LGBT+ musician who is making waves as well as staying authentically herself. Daya is one of the top musicians of today that Jvneav would love to collaborate with given the opportunity.
